Nashville Eagle Candidate’s Project Was Rebuilding Outhouse Destroyed By Storm At Historic McKelvey School
Jack Goostree, a member of Boy Scout Troop 127, recently completed a rebuild of the old outhouse at McKelvey School House for the Washington County Historical Society.
The outhouse was completely destroyed during a storm in the spring of 2017.
This service portion of Jack’s Eagle Scout project required over 80 hours of work from him and his scout helpers.
In addition to the rebuild, some improvements were made to the schoolhouse itself, including painting the trim on the windows and the door, as well as hanging a new American flag on the flag pole.
Jack hopes to complete his Eagle Scout requirements this month as he concludes the detailed paperwork which is necessary.
