Jimtown Road Bridge Closed

The Washington County Highway Department announced that by order of the Illinois Department of Transportation Bridge Safety Unit, the bridge on Jimtown Road in Plum Hill Township between Weaver Creek Road and Black Jack is closed permanently.
The closure will stay in effect until the bridge structure can be replaced.
Based on the latest information available, the Washington County Highway Department is anticipating that the replacement for this structure will be built within the next 18 months.
