Hoyleton – July 4, 2018
By Patricia Rensing
Check out the ad in this paper for the fun-filled schedule of events at the 50th Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest this weekend! Our raffle prizes continue to roll in and added are five $100 gift cards to the Hofbrauhaus; 32′ flat screen TV, pellet grill, picnic basket to name a few. Our Little Prince and Princess contestants are selling tickets as the highest ticket seller will be crowned under the pavilion at 6pon Saturday. Tickets are also available at both banks in Hoyleton.
Dawn Kasten and Emily Holle are not only dedicated employees at the Get Wells Veterinary Clinic – they are chairing the Pet Parade under the pavilion at 1:00pm on Saturday. Categories have been established for judging and entry is $1.00 per pet. Your pet may enter into multiple categories for this entry fee. Puppies, kittens, best costumed pet, trick performer, largest dog – – all will parade by the judges and any pet can be entered. Dawn advised awards will be presented and winners will receive a special treat. This is an enjoyable spectator event as many of our youth proudly present their beloved pets to the audience.
If you can give a helping hand for a few hours during this weekend, please contact Dustin Unverfehrt at 618-534-7897. We have open shifts needing manpower. All volunteers are appreciated!
We are calling upon our generous bakers in town to donate desserts for the dinners served in the Community Building on both Saturday and Sunday. Please bring your specialty to the building on either day.
Hoyleton Community Club is honored to host the Hofbraufest for the 50th year. Our community is proud to showcase our Village and all are welcome to join us!
