Adaline S. Moore

Mrs. Adaline S. Moore of Salem, departed this life at her residence in Salem, on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 10:33 A.M. She had attained the age of 101 years and 7 months.
Adaline was born on December 1, 1916 in Ashley, the daughter of Abraham and Sarah Baldridge. She was united in marriage to Waldo T. Moore and he preceded her in death.
Adaline’s family owned and operated Moore Hardware in Ashley, for over 30 years. She was the bookkeeper and later owner of the Baldridge Drilling Company for many years until she retired at the age of 95. She was a longtime member of the Ashley Methodist Church, until it was closed. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Madonna Club, and she enjoyed ceramics, watching Wheel of Fortune and she loved spending time at the lake with her family.
Left to mourn her passing is her son-in-law, Ron (Ira Kaye) Hickam of Salem; a granddaughter, Tara (Michael) Fleeman; two great grandchildren, Paige and Tyler Fleeman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Mary Jane Hickam.
Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11 AM with Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashley City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley on Thursday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Ashley City Cemetery or the Jireh India Missions and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
