NCHS Registration August 7, New Student Orientation August 9
All Nashville Community High School students are asked to register for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday, Aug. 7 starting at 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
At registration, parents will complete required paperwork, provide proper documentation and pay student fees while some students will receive their class schedule and Chromebook, and have their yearbook and school ID pictures taken.
Much of the paperwork can be filled out ahead of registration from your parental Skyward Account.
This option will be available towards the end of the summer. Please make sure students come to registration dressed appropriately for school pictures.
Incoming freshmen will not receive class schedules until Freshman orientation and upon completion of required paperwork, including residency information and completion of a 9th grade physical.
If you cannot access Skyward or attend registration on August 7, you may stop by the guidance office after August 7 to request registration materials or a computer to complete your information.
Incoming freshman students and parents should complete and return the residency form they will receive in the freshman mailing, which is scheduled to be mailed next week (week of July 16).
Returning sophomores, juniors and seniors who have moved (within the district) AND all new students, including freshmen, will need to bring two proofs of residency; one from each category (ex. Category I: recent property tax bill, mortgage papers, copy of lease; Category II: driver’s license, vehicle or voter registration, most recent gas, electric, water, cable television and/or credit card bill.)
Chromebooks
Returning students will also receive their Chromebooks during registration.
Incoming Freshmen and new students will only receive Chromebooks once their parents have attended one of the two required Chromebook informational meetings held on Thursday, Aug 2 at 6 pm or Thursday, Aug 9 at 6 pm prior to Freshman Orientation and signed our Chromebook Agreement.
Both meetings will be held at the high school. Parents of older siblings who have already attended a Chromebook meeting do not need to attend.
Chromebooks will be available for those students whose parents attended the Aug. 9 meeting, after the Freshman Orientation has concluded.
Freshman And New Student Orientation
Freshman and new student orientation will take place on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7pm.
A school supply list and some registration material will be available for printing ahead of time on the NCHS website, (nashville-k12.org) http://64.83.243.36/nashville/high/index.htm.
If you are unable to access the website, you may stop by the main office to request a copy.
Office hours are Monday – Thursday 7am-2pm
If you have any questions or have a conflict with the dates, please call the Guidance office at 327-8286 ext. 251.
Student Parking Permits
Starting Monday, July 16, NCHS students can purchase on-campus parking permits.
Students must bring their valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, license plate number, and $20 to the main office to be placed in the lottery.
This is NOT a first come, first serve process. As in years past, a lottery procedure will be used in assigning parking spots. The lottery will take place during the first week of school starting with seniors first, juniors second and sophomores last. In order for a student to be placed in the lottery, they must provide a valid driver’s license, insurance, plate number, and pay the $20 permit fee no later than Aug. 10.
After Aug. 10, students will not be entered in the lottery but will still be eligible for the remaining parking spots after assignments have been made.
Students will be called to the office to pick up their parking permits during the first week of school.
If you have any questions regarding parking permits, contact Principal Mark Begando at 327-8286.
