Frances F. Malick
Miss. Frances F. Malick of Ashley, IL departed this life at Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville, on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 4:27 P.M. She had attained the age of 101 years, 2 months and 23 days.
Frances was born on June 4, 1917 in Washington County, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Theodosia (Bauza) Malick.
Frances enjoyed a 40 year career in retail at shops including Scruggs, Vandervoots, and Barney Department Stores, and several other ladies apparel stores in St. Louis. While in San Francisco, CA, Frances worked for I. Magnun. After Frances retired, she lived with her brothers Frank and Ray at their home in Ashley, IL. She followed her Mother’s request to keep the family together. This is exemplified by the yearly Family Reunion held every last Sunday in July. Frances was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL.
Left to mourn her passing is her 2 sisters, Gertrude Mayer of Corpus Christi, Texas and Louise Holte of Elgin, IL; a brother, Raymond Malick of Ashley, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Helen Liske, Mary Witt and Theresa Mayer and 3 brothers, Eugene, Theodore and Francis Malick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating and with interment in the St. Michael Cemetery in Radom, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Monday from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M.
Should friends desire mass offerings or memorials may be made to St. Ann Church or St Ann School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
