Clarence J. Liszewski

Mr. Clarence J. Liszewski of Nashville, departed this life at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 6:08 PM.  He had attained the age of 64 years, 7 months and 4 days.

Clarence was born on January 27, 1954 at Nashville, the son of Edward and Cecelia (Karolczak) Liszewski.

Clarence was a lifelong farmer and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Pinckneyville.  Clarence enjoyed hunting, farming, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to mourn his passing are his three children, Jason Liszewski and wife Sara of The Woodlands, Texas, Melissa Liszewski and Fiance Courtney Barcellos of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Nathan Liszewski and significant other Jenny Carroll of Peoria; two grandchildren, Sophia and Catherine Liszewski; two sisters, Janet Sherman and husband Warren of Pinckneyville, and Rita Liszewski of Radom; aunts, uncles, nieces, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 10 AM with Fr. Bernard Goedde officiating. There will be no visitation hours on Thursday before the funeral service.  Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Per the wishes of Clarence and his family, cremation will be performed after the funeral services.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Wednesday from 5 PM until 8 PM.  A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 PM.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
