Hornets Pick Up Win Over Waterloo

After beginning last season with a disappointing overtime loss to Waterloo, the Hornets had no trouble this year. Nashville took the lead in the first quarter and never looked back as they picked up a 56-18 win over the Bulldogs to begin the Wesclin Tip-Off Classic.
Nashville trailed just once in the game as Jake Wade hit an early three to put Waterloo up 3-2. It would be the only first quarter points for the Bulldogs, as Nashville scored at will against the Waterloo defense. The Hornets put up 18 first quarter points, eight of which coming from Bryce Bultman. Nashville took the lead at 4-3 and never trailed again in the contest.

The Hornets offense slowed in the second quarter, but their defense kept Waterloo from closing the gap. Nashville put up 11 points in the second quarter, while they only gave up five points. At the break, Nashville held a commanding 29-8 lead.
