With Christmas now just two weeks away, many people are looking to fill their calendars with festive activities. Here is a list of things to do this weekend to get you and your family ready for the season:

The Bakery Nook is hosting a Cookies With Santa event on Saturday, December 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. Children can get their pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and receive a free cookie.
Santa will have a more permanent residency at the restored L&N Depot in Nashville. Hours for Saturday and Sunday are 2 to 4 p.m. and beginning on Tuesday, December 18, he will be taking requests in the evenings from 4 to 6:30 p.m. through Friday, December 21. On Saturday, he departs from the Depot to head to the North Pole.
The Lions Club is holding its annual Christmas Residential Lighting Contest this year. There will be five awards given to the four Best of Show and one Best Religious Display. Judging will be held on Sunday, December 16. Participants are asked to have their lights on by 5:30 p.m.
A living nativity will be set up on December 22 and 23. Hosted by Calvary Apostolic Church, the event will take place on the corner of Highway 51 and Jason Court. The free family activity will include a drive through nativity scene with live animals and actors. There will also be caroling, hot chocolate and other sweets available.
