Hornets Rocket Past Okawville

The Nashville Hornets picked up three more wins this past week, which included a comeback win over Okawville, as well as wins against Anna-Jonesboro and Carlyle. The Hornets now have a record of 23-2 on the season. Nashville will be back in action on February 1 as they travel to take on Sparta. The Hornets next home contest will be February 8 as they take on Carterville.

Okawville got off to a fast start but could not hold off Nashville, as the Hornets defeated their Washington County rival 44-30 on January 22.

After the teams went back and forth to begin the contest, Okawville took control with a 10-3 run to end the first quarter. Okawville got big shots behind the arc from Wyatt Krohne and Lane Schilling, as they had the Hornets on their heels to begin the game.

Okawville went cold from the field in the second quarter though, as they only knocked down one shot, which came from Jackson Heckert. Nashville however, began to find their footing on offense as they outscored Okawville 8-2 to cut the Rocket lead to just one point at the break.
