Irma Wittemeyer, 91, of Centralia, passed away February 12, 2019 at Friendship Manor in Nashville, IL.
She was born March 15, 1927 in Furth, Germany the daughter of Johann and Margarette (Donnaver) Kohler. She married Elmer Wittemeyer on June 26, 1948 in Nashville, IL, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2012.
Irma leaves her loving memories to be cherished by, brothers, Hans Kohler and special friend Herta, Erich Kohler and wife Mariane; nephews, Markus Kohler, Stephen Kohler and wife Julia; nieces, Anita Scherbal and husband Gerhard, Siglinda Kohler all of Germany; nephews, Richard Karmeier, Ralph Karmeier and wife Julie, all of New Minden; niece, Geraldine Krigelski and husband Michael of Lake Whales, FL and extended family.
Mrs. Wittemeyer was a devoted member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. She was a devoted housewife throughout the years to her husband and the two had fond memories of their travels. Irma was a member of the Centralia’s VFW Woman’s Auxiliary.
A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Mark Girardin officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Memorial contributions may be made in Irma’s honor to Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia or Donor’s Choice.
