Library Begins Book Cart Fundraiser
Readers who can’t get enough books can now put their growing book habit to good use.
The Nashville Public Library began an ongoing book sale fundraiser to help purchase a new book cart for the library.
Library Director Kelsey Schaepperkoetter said donated books are now on display for patrons to purchase.
Schaepperkoetter said the library was interested in acquiring a new cart since the previous one has a tendency to squeak after years of use.
The prices for the fundraisher have suggested costs between 25 cents and a few dollars.
Schaepperkoetter said a cart for the library costs about $500. After that money is raised, she said it may move toward other projects and items needed.
The fundraiser seems to be off to a good start. After its first day, there has been $9 raised for the cause.
