Marie M. Frisch, 100, of Mount Vernon, Illinois formerly of Scheller, Illinois passed away at 5:30 A.M. March 28, 2019 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
She was born November 1, 1918 in Dubois, Illinois to the late Adam and Margaret (Mydler) Kerry. She married Adolph M. Frisch on October 15, 1934 at Saint Charles Church in Dubois, Illinois. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on April 6, 1996.
Marie is survived by her children, Shirley Nadolski, Robert Frisch, Ronald Frisch, all of Scheller, Illinois, and Patricia Stanowski of Nashville, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren, sister, Alice Pyszka of Scheller, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Magdalen (Mydler) Kerry, husband, Adolph M. Frisch; granddaughter, Deborah (Nadolski) Schubert; son-in-law, Raymond Nadolski; three brothers, Ernest Kerry, Clarence Kerry, and Frank; sister, Frances Betelejewski; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kerry,Lorene Kerry, and Mary Kerry; two brothers-in-law, Dominic Betelejewski and Stanley Pyszka, Sr.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Saint Barbaras Catholic Church in Scheller, Illinois. The Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30P.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Saint Barbaras Catholic Church with Father John Iffert officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Barbara Cemetery in Scheller, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Saint Barbaras Cemetery or Masses.

Marie Kerry Frisch and my Mother, Elsie Rehmus, were best childhood friends as they lived a farm away from each other in DuBois, IL. Marie made my parents’ wedding cake and came to their wedding in East St Louis, IL. The last time we saw Marie was at Traveler’s Cafe on Hwy 51 outside of DuBois in 1996. Marie was working in the kitchen and she and Mom had a good visit, They were like schoolgirls and could not hug each other enough. Mom died in 2005 at the age of 88. I have pictures of the two of them hugging and laughing. God Bless you Marie!
