Maschhoff And Fox Named NCHS Cheerleading Coaches

The NCHS Cheerleading squad has two new coaches at the helm. The NCHS School Board hired Kailie Maschhoff and Morgan Fox as the new Cheerleading Coaches. Former NCHS Cheerleading coach Emily Kuberski resigned in April after one year in charge.

Maschhoff is a 2015 graduate of NCHS, while Fox graduated from Nashville in 2017. Both were members of the NCHS Cheerleading squad while at NCHS.

Maschhoff said of taking over, “I am excited to get the 2019-2020 season started! I have always hoped to coach cheerleading at Nashville one day and now my dream is becoming a reality. This experience will be able to teach me so many valuable lessons and I hope I’m able to teach the cheerleaders I coach lessons as well. In the upcoming years, Morgan and I hope to see our team numbers rise and to rebuild our program to the glory it once held. My love and passion for cheerleading holdas a big place in my heart which will help me become a successful coach. My biggest request is that our parents, fans, and community members will cheer along with our team at events. Go Blue!”

When asked about taking the reins of the program Fox said, “As coaches we are eager to get things up and going in order to better the NCHS Cheerleading team in any way we can. We see importance in improving our skills individually and as a team this year and for years to come; and working hard so that we can be compared to the elite teams that are around us. Cheerleading is something we’ve both always had a love and passion for so we hope share that with our team as well as community members. We all know that this is going to require a lot of hard work and determination from us and the girls, but we are excited for the upcoming season.”

Athletic Director Alicia Heggemeier said the school is excited to see two former Hornette Cheerleaders take over the program. “They are excited to bring their experiences and knowledge to the NCHS Cheerleading squad. I really like the positive and fresh attitudes that they bring to the program.
