Five Hornettes Named All-Conference

The Nashville Hornettes softball team finished the season with a 16-13 record on the season. Nashville started the year slow with a 5-9 record but got hot late winning 11 of their final 15 games. Nashville finished with five SIRR Mississippi Division All-Conference players this season. The five players named All-Conference was the second most of Mississippi Division schools. Pinckneyville, who finished second in IHSA Class 2A had seven players named All-Conference.

Nashville finished with three players named First-Team All-Conference. Nashville, DuQuoin, and Sparta each had three players apiece named to the First-Team.

Sophie Heck, Josie Woodrome, and Jenna Harris were all named First-Team All-Conference for Nashville.

Heck was named First-Team as a catcher. Woodrome was named First-Team at an infielder. Harris was named First-Team as a Utility Player.

Nashville had two players named Second-Team All-Conference. Whitley Hunter made the team as an infielder. Bailey Melton was named Second-Team All-Conference as a designated hitter.
