Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Kinzel of Okawville, IL departed this life under hospice care at BJC St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 5:35 P.M. She had attained the age of 77 years, 5 months and 14 days.
Pat was born in St. Louis, MO on December 31, 1941 the daughter of Glenn and Emma (nee Hogan) Toler. She was a graduate of Riverview Gardens High School. Pat was united in marriage to Ronald Kinzel in the Berea Lutheran Church in Riverview Gardens, MO on October 28, 1961 and he preceded her death on February 8, 2019 after 57 years of marriage.
Mrs. Kinzel was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy, IL. Pat enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping, and listening to country music. She was Brad Paisley’s biggest fan.
Left to morn her passing are five children, Kathie Roush and Craig Eigenrauch of Addieville, IL, Keith Kinzel and wife Lorna of Red Bud, IL, Karen Donohue and husband Daniel of St. Peters, MO, Kelly Hokeness and husband Douglas of Okawville and Kenneth Kinzel and wife Judy of Okawville; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie (Tony) Carton, Christopher (Danielle) Schorfheide, Lacy Kinzel, Brian Donohue, Brandon Hokeness, Jacob Hokeness, Emma Hokeness, Clayton Vanderson, Katherine Kinzel and Joseph Kinzel; five great grandchildren, Eli, Adlai, Jenna, Sawyer and Paisley; a sister, Beverly Bowers of St. Louis, MO; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kinzel; her parents, Glenn and Emma Toler; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alvin and Thelma Kinzel; her three sisters and their spouses, Betty and Gus Vogelsang, Dorothy and Louis Frueh, and Glenda and Earl Fey; her brother-in-law William Bowers; and her son-in-law, Robert Roush.
Funeral services will be held from the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy, IL on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Art Eichhorn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Wednesday 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Thursday from 7:30 A.M. until 9 A.M. then at the church on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Okawville Grade School music program or to the St. Salvator Lutheran Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
