Mrs. Beatrice Cook of DuBois, IL, departed this life at Lavender Ridge in Mt. Vernon, IL on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 11 A.M. She had attained the age of 87 years, 7 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Cook was born on January 13, 1932 in Fulton, MS, the daughter of Elvis Clark and Flora (Lovvorn) Dill. She was united in marriage to Charles Cook on February 9, 1950 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death.
Beatrice worked as a childcare worker for many years and she was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Cahokia, IL. She enjoyed flowers and loved her garden.
Left to mourn her passing is her two daughters, Deanna Ball of Oakdale, IL and Charolette Mayville and her husband Tony of DuBois, IL; four grandchildren, Jodie (Jeff) Matzenbacher, Ryan (Nikki) Ball, Ben (Carrie) Mayville and Amanda (Shawn) Chesnek; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Faye (Jack) Rempe of House Springs, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10:15 AM. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
