Hornettes Win Lady Panther Invitational

The Nashville Hornettes girls golf team won the Lady Panther Invitational on September 6, which was held at Red Hawk Golf Course in Pinckneyville. Eight teams competed in the tournament. The Hornettes competed against DuQuoin, Chester, Trico, Murphysboro, Waltonville/Sesser-Valier, Pinckneyville, and Ziegler.

The Hornettes finished with a score of 177. Second place went to Waltonville/Sesser-Valier with a 191. Pinckneyville was third with a 207. Ziegler and Trico each finished with a 212. Chester finished with a 240. Murphysboro followed with a 244. DuQuoin finished eighth with a 251.

Rylee White and Ryan Stiegman each finished with a 43 to lead the Hornettes. Sydney Gordon finished with a 45, followed by Grace Ruehl with a 46. Emily Guest carded a 50. Brooklyne Luessenheide finished with a 53.
