Hornettes Finish Fifth At Yorktown

The Nashville Hornettes girls golf team had a great showing at the Belleville East Par 3 Golf Tournament at Yorktown Golf Course. Thirteen schools competed, with 12 teams posting a score. One team only had three golfers and did not post a team score. Competing at the event were: Civic Memorial, Nashville, Collinsville, O’Fallon, Alton, Columbia, Freeburg, Belleville East, Granite City, Belleville West, Lancers, Triad, and Althoff.

Nashville finished with a team score of 261, which put them in fifth place. Only one IHSA Class A team defeated Nashville in the tournament. O’Fallon won the tournament with a score of 231. Belleville East was second with a score of 246, followed by Columbia in third with a 253. Collinsville was just behind with a score of 254. Nashville rounded out the top five.

Rylee White was the top Hornette at the event with a score of 60. White earned a medal and was eighth overall as an individual. Sydney Gordon finished with a 61. Ryan Stiegman turned in a 66, followed by Emily Guest with a 74. Grace Ruehl finished with an 80. Brooklyne Luessenheide finished with an 82.
