Former Councilwoman Donates Barn Quilt Painting To Nashville Fire Protection District

Linda Schultz, center, presents her completed barn quilt painting to the Nashville Fire Protection District Thursday evening. Schultz completed the project in about six weeks, and she wanted to donate the artwork as a way of showing gratitude for all the hard work the volunteers provide for the city. “It was something I wanted to do because I really appreciate what the fire department does,” Schultz said, adding she had seen the worker help out neighbors of hers. Chris Frerker, president of the Nashville Firemen’s Association, said the painting will be placed on the outside of the district building on West St. Louis Street, giving the downtown area a sense of “hometown flair.”
