Any parent who wishes to volunteer at school has to sign up on the Raptor system as a volunteer, the link is on the school website, nashville49.org.
The PSO Spirit Wear Fundraiser Flyers came home with students, the link is https://nmsspiritwear2019.itemorder.com/. Order now until Wednesday October 23rd at 11:59pm. Please consider helping raise funds for our PSO by supporting this fundraiser! All items will be in by Christmas!
Families may apply for free/reduced meal benefits any time during the school year. For example, children with a parent or guardian who becomes unemployed may become eligible for free/reduced price meals if the household income drops below the income limit. Applications for free/reduced lunch are available in each school office.
The next Challengers meeting for students that turned in their October attendance forms is Thursday, October 24th from 3:30 – 4:30. Please pick up your child in the Primary Art Room.
On Thursday, October 24th our First Grade class will enjoy a trip to Eckert’s in Millstadt. While there they will study the life cycle of pumpkins!
We are selling The Official St. Louis Cardinals 2020 Calendar for $15.00. This calendar makes a great gift! Please place your order by Friday, October 25th. All funds raised will support our non-detention activities and field trips. The calendars will be delivered to school before Christmas.
Our Primary School Halloween Parade is Friday, October 25th at 8:45. The gym will open to visitors at 8:30 am. Children are to come to school in their costume. Please no costumes with weapons. Remember to have a change of clothes for your child for the rest of the school day. Feel free to go to your child’s classroom to help in changing clothes after all the students are back in their classrooms. Please join us for this fun Fall event!
Friday is also Hats Off To Cancer Day. Students who bring in $1 to school can wear a hat all day! All money raised goes to the Relay for Life. Hat Days are organized by our Student Council.
Red Ribbon Week is October 28th – November 1st.
There is an 11:30 dismissal on November 8th and no school on November 11th for Veterans Day.
World Kindness Day is on November 13th. Please join NCHS in purchasing a shirt for yourself or someone else to wear on this day. The Kindness Committee at NCHS is gearing up with all feeder schools to help promote kindness. Last year they were able to give TSJ a monetary donation towards the purchase of a buddy bench.
