Annual Tax Results From Washington County Delinquent Tax Sale
The delinquent Real Estate Tax Sale was conducted on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Courthouse by Washington County Treasurer Natalie Lynch and County Clerk Nancy Heseman.
There were 137 parcels offered for sale. The total dollar amount of the tax sale was $142,673.06.
There were 16 tax buyers attending. The top three buyers were Raven Securities of Belleville, which purchased 16 parcels totaling $36,301.82; Sabre Investments of Carbondale, purchasing 16 parcels totaling $24,622.34; and AS-IS Properties of Metropolis purchasing 19 parcels totaling $21,982.87. Joseph E. Meyers as Washington Countty Trustee acquired 31 parcels.
