St. Charles is hosting the annual Snowball Dance and Auction on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the KC Hall in DuBois. If you missed the ad in last week’s paper, you may contact Monica Bochantin at 318-6802 or Kathryn Restoff at 201-4806 for details and advance tickets, or visit the DuBois branch of Farmers & Merchants Bank. Advance adult tickets are $15 or $20 at the door. Grade school-aged children tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. A drawing will be held for all ticket holders whether you attend or not for cash prizes of $200, $100 and $50, plus gift certificates for children.
We will once again serving up a wonderful buffet of hors d’oeuvres beginning at 7 p.m. To satisfy that sweet tooth, an assortment of sweets and cheesecakes will be served.
Items to be auctioned at the live auction include one beautiful handmade quilt, a hand-crafted cedar chest and tickets for a Kenny Chesney.
In addition to the live auction, you will have the opportunity to bid on numerous items at our silent auction. There will be items for the kiddos as well as adults. This is an opportunity for you to bid on some beautiful handmade and one-of-a-kind items, as well as numerous other items generously donated.
At this time we are collecting donations of gift cards/certificates from a variety of local restaurants. This collection will be raffled off at the dance. Just think of all the free food you can enjoy over the next year!
For your dancing pleasure, One Night Stand will be providing the music from 8 to 11:30 p.m. We will also feature opening musical selections from our own talented youth. Mark you calendar for this Saturday, Jan. 18, and go back and review our ad in last week’s paper.
