New Minden Man Arrested Following Kemp’s Korner Burglary

A 58-year-old New Minden  man has been arrested in connection to a burglary that reportedly occurred at Kemp’s Korner Friday night.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to an activated alarm at the gas station at 17937 State Route 177 at 10:20 p.m. on Friday, February 28. Once the deputy arrived, the front door of Kemp’s was found to be damaged.

“After reviewing the video surveillance with the business owner, a suspect vehicle was identified,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

Robert E. Keeney was arrested and charged with burglary and criminal damage to property.

Nashville Police assisted the sheriff’s office with the investigation.
