NCHS To Close Monday For Teacher’s Institute Day; District 49 To Have School

The Nashville Community High School posted on Facebook Sunday night cancelling school for Monday, March 16.

“At this time, out of the utmost concern for the safety and well-being of our students and staff, we are cancelling school for Monday, March 16th. We will have a Teacher Institute day and ALL staff should report to the library for a meeting at 8:30 am.”

Superintendent Brad Turner also stated that “at this time, no changes have been made to graduation or the last day of school. As more information becomes available to us, any necessary adjustments will be made and communicated to students, parents, and the community.

Information regarding e-learning days will be forthcoming on Monday and throughout next week.”

NCHS added that students who need to pick up items from their lockers can come to the building between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Afterward, the doors will be locked.

District 49 Superintendent Michael Brink said in an email to parents that classes at Nashville Primary and Middle schools are to be in session Monday.
