Mrs. Louise Ethel (nee Brooks) Campbell of Nashville, IL departed this life at her residence surrounded by her family on Good Friday, April 10, 2020 at 10:40 A.M. She had attained the age of 82 years, 3 months and 9 days.

Louise was born in Hattiesburg, MS on January 1, 1938 the daughter of Jessie Homer and Ruie Velma (nee Lott) Brooks. She was united in marriage to Lester Campbell on December 24, 1952 in Escatawpa, MS and he survives her passing.

Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and her latter years Louise was employed as an in-home caregiver to a number of elderly patients. She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Nashville where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. She was also a member of the Home Extension group in Nashville, IL.  Louise loved to travel and go camping. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, crafts and true to her heritage, she loved cooking up Southern dishes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband Lester Campbell of Nashville, IL; son, Neal Campbell and wife Pinky of Kihei, Maui, Hawaii; three daughters, Lucinda McCall and husband Eugene of Greenville, SC, Pamela Neuhaus and husband Dennis of Hoyleton, IL and Sharon Schuessler and husband Keith of Nashville, IL; sister, Ruie Brooks-Waller; 8 grandchildren, Keanna Campbell, Sarah (McCall) and husband Patrick Todd, Andrew and Ryann McCall, Stacey (Neuhaus) and husband Christian Taylor, Jenee (Neuhaus) and husband Brent Schorfheide, Megan (Neuhaus) and husband Brendan Morris, Breck (Schilling) and husband Justin Kramper; 9 great grandchildren; Kaden, Noah and Cassian Todd, Austin and Grayson Schorfheide, Sloane and Willa Louise Morris and  Maylen and Ryerson Kramper; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Homer James Brooks, W.B. Brooks, Raymond D. Brooks and John Calvin Brooks; a sister, Lavon Brooks-Gill and a grandson, Heston Michael Schilling.

Due to the Covid-19 health concerns, a private graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville, IL.  A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Assembly of God Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements

    Lester, Neil and family I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I will always remember the fun times I and my siblings had while growing up and being a part of her Sunday class, VBS, and Christmas programs. She was a wonderful person.
