James J. Lamczyk

James J. Lamczyk, 82, of Nashville, IL, formerly of the Todds Mill area, passed away at 7:40 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Friendship Manor Healthcare in Nashville, IL.

James had been a farmer.  He was a member of the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill, IL.

He was born August 1, 1937 at Tamaroa, IL, the son of August and Cecelia (Bonk) Lamczyk.

He is survived by one daughter – Barbara Curtis and husband Steve of Mt. Vernon, IL, six grandchildren – Chantal Suhr and husband Daniel of Pinckneyville, Stacy Spotanski and husband Steven of Mt. Vernon, Ashley Swanson and husband Henry of Mt. Vernon, Justin Curtis of Carbondale, Julie Dehne of Treasure Island, FL, and Tim Dehne of Granite City, IL, eight great grandchildren and one on the way, two sisters – Genevieve Barnowski and Emily Chlebowski, both of Nashville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son – Larry Lamczyk, one daughter – Carolyn Dority, one grandson – Alan Dehne, one brother – Edwin Lamczyk and one sister – Marcella Lamczyk.

Private family graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill with Fr. Augustine Ibezimako officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill, IL.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
