Eighth COVID-19 Case Reported

Washington County Health Department has been notified ofan additional (1) lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 in a county resident.  This case is a close contact to someone previously diagnosed with COVID-19 and has been on quarantine since before symptoms started.  This individual is isolated and stable.  The health department is in communication with cases and close contacts to help reduce the spread of this disease.  


The health department released another (1) individual from isolation orders today, making 5 confirmed cases closed and recovered.  The department is actively following 3 lab-confirmed cases and their close contacts.  122 negativeresults have been reported to the department at this time.


We ask that if you have been told you have been in contact with someone with COVID or have recently traveled outside of the area, quarantine at home for 14 days and watch for signs of illness.  If you need to go out for essential business, practice social distancing, wear a mask, and limit time out.

    Well we really don’t know . If we aren’t told where these people who all have been we will never know ! Or least the last place they were . If they Touched anything metal like a cart it stays in metal
    For over 12 hours .
