The first Nashville Chamber of Commerce Farmers Market of the year looked a little different from previous markets. The first one was held on Thursday, May 7, and while it continued to be held on the county courthouse lawn, vendors and customers were advised to practice safe social distancing measures due to the state guidelines.
The rules were listed as followed:
Due to COVID-19 there are some extra rules that everyone will have to abide to. Here are the guidelines from
Illinois Farmers Market Association and Washington County Health Department.
  • • If you are sick, please stay home

  • • Maintain the 6’ distance between yourself, vendors and other customers

  • • This is not a family event, so please only 1 person per household

  • • Do NOT pick up any produce, the Vendor will bag it for you.

  • • Have change as no change will be given

  • • Must wear a mask

  • • If you sneeze or cough, please use a tissue or into the crease

  • of your elbow. And then use hand sanitizer(provided)

  • • When you get home please wash all produce, thoroughly
