Mrs. Theresa Czajkowski of Ashley, IL, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, IL on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:30 PM. She had attained the age of 97 years, a month and 24 days.
Mrs. Czajkowski was born on Match 22, 1923 in Washington County, IL the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Lefffner) Pedtke. She was united in marriage to Leo Czajkowski on November 27, 1946 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in DuBois, IL and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1988.
Theresa worked for the Candy Factory in Ashley, IL and later worked at Pet Milk in St. Louis, MO for many years till retirement. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, IL, where she was active with the quilters. Theresa enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers and polka dancing.
Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Judy Malick and husband Glen of Florissant, MO; two grandchildren, Scott and wife Carrie Malick and Andrea Malick, 3 great grandchildren, Andrew, Ben, and Jake Malick; nieces, nephews, other relations and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Louie, Anthony, and Ted Pedtke and 2 sisters, Mary Gruhala and Clara Boczek.
Due to the Covid-19 health concerns, a private graveside service will be held at the St. Michael in Radom with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Ann Catholic Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
