JOANN A.L. HARVEY
Mrs. Joann A.L. Harvey of Nashville, IL, departed this life at her residence in Nashville on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 8:10 PM. She had attained the age of 76 years, 3 months and a day.
Mrs. Harvey was born on April 21, 1944 in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Henry and Ella (nee Oltmann) Grattendick. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Harvey on June 3, 1972 at Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL, and he survives her passing.
Joan graduated from Okawville High School in 1962. She worked as the Restaurant Manager for Hardee’s in Nashville, IL from 1989 to 2002 and then went on to work at Citgo in Nashville. Joann was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL, where she was active in the Women’s Guild and served on the Church Council. She was also a member of the Clappers Bowling Team. Joann enjoyed having coffee with the girls, she was an avid walker and loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team and any Nashville sports teams.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Kenneth Harvey of Nashville, IL; three children, Barbara Hansen and husband Bill of Hartford, IL, Jack Harvey and wife Melanie of Elizabethtown, KY and Kim Harvey of Nashville, IL; five grandchildren, Thomas Hansen and girlfriend Courtney Brazier, Tara Hansen, Mackenzie, Matthew and Marlena Harvey; three great grandchildren, Makenna, Trenton and Luna; brother, Paul Grattendick and wife Esther of Nashville, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Public visitation will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 5 PM until 8 PM and then at Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville on Monday from 10 AM until the service hour. In accordance with the new guidelines provided by the state, we encourage guests to wear a mask, practice social distancing and refrain from hugs and handshakes.
Funeral services will be held at the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Groennert officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Autism Speaks Organization or the Washington County Relay for Life and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
