Mrs. Theresa Kujawa of Radom, IL departed this life at Mt. Vernon Healthcare Center in Mt. Vernon, IL on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 4:55 AM. She had attained the age of 97 years, 10 months and 17 days.
Mrs. Kujawa was born on October 6, 1922 in DuBois Township, Washington County, IL the daughter of Stefan and Helen (nee Prusacki) Szopinski. She was baptized in the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. Theresa was united in marriage to Leo Kujawa on July 17, 1939 at St. Michael Catholic Church by Father S.L. Berenk. Leo preceded her in death on December 1, 2000.
Theresa was a homemaker and a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL. She enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and she loved spending time with her family.
Left to mourn her passing are her four sons, Paul Kujawa of St. Louis, MO, Daniel Kujawa and wife Margaret of DuBois, IL, Ted Kujawa and wife Wilma of Ashley, IL and Gene Kujawa and wife Marilyn of Scheller, IL; nine grandchildren, Marvin (Lisa) Kujawa, Doris (Brian ) Durkee, Jacquelin Taylor, Allen Kujawa, Kimberly (Scott) Harris, Steve (Jennifer) Kujawa, Julie (Brad) Overton, Stephanie Anderson and Christopher (Ranae) Kujawa; 16 great-grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Griffing, Sean (Mallory) Taylor, Kylie (Ali) Kujawa, Marissa Kujawa, Amber Kujawa, Ryan Durkee, Kelsi Durkee, Hayley Kujawa, Brandon Kujawa, Lynsey Kujawa, Luken Kujawa, Harlow Kujawa, Alana Anderson, Brady Anderson, Coleen Harris, Savannah Kujawa and Gretchen Kujawa; eight great great-grandchildren, Greyson and Kolton Taylor, Lance, Myles and Natasha Kujawa, Paxton Kujawa and Taylor and Paige Griffing; one sister, Clara Barnowski of DuBois, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Adrian Kujawa and a grandson-in-law, Gregory Taylor.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10 AM with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 8 AM until 9:30 AM.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Michael Cemetery and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
