Irvington Grade School Staff Member Notified Of Being A Close Contact, Will Quarantine
A letter went out to parents of Irvington Grade School students on Tuesday, August 25, informing them that a staff member at the school has been notified as being a close contact to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.
Superintendent David Schultz said in the letter that the staff member is currently awaiting test results.
“We are continuing to take extra precautions as necessary and monitor this situation,” Schulte said. “I have spoken with the Washington County Health Department about our circumstance and implementing guidelines as suggested.”
Schulte said the school is following guidance in place by the Centers for Disease and Control Prevention and state and local health departments. He added in the letter that updates will be provided as more information becomes available
“The health and safety of Irvington students and staff is our highest priority and we recognize the uncertainty and concern regarding the evolving coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
