Mrs. Imogene Cross of Nashville, IL departed this life at the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, IL on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 12:25 AM. She had attained the age of 93 years, 10 months and 11 days.
Mrs. Cross was born on December 13, 1926 in Texas, the daughter of General and Nina (Stepp) Burke. She was united in marriage to Jack Cross in Monticello, KY on December 6, 1946and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2002.
Imogene worked at Nashville Community High School in Nashville, IL as a cook for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville and the Nashville Ladies Golf League. Imogene enjoyed crafting, gardening and golfing.
Left to mourn her passing is her three daughters, Jeana Kramer and husband Wes of Port St. Joe, FL, Judy Malawy and husband Butch of Nashville, IL, and Janet Weston and husband Jimmy of Jenks, OK; daughter-in-law, Candice Cross of New Minden, IL; four grandchildren, Chad Malawy and wife Julie, Kasey Watts and husband Jeff, Crystal Hasheider and husband Matt, and Kelly Faul and husband Clint; seven great grandchildren, Cole and Jack Thomas “JT” Malawy, Madalyn Hasheider, Mason, Anna and Claire Watts, Hudson Faul; sister, Joyce Gover of Monticello, KY; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Jackie Cross; two grandson, Troy and Todd Kramer, brother-in-law, Sam Gover.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Interment will follow in the Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Wednesday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the NCHS Baseball Program and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
