Christopher “Chris” A. Kujawa

Mr. Christopher “Chris” A. Kujawa of Ashley, IL departed this life at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO on Sunday, December 6, 2020.  He had attained the age of 42 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Mr. Kujawa was born on August 19, 1978 at Centralia, IL the son of Frankie and Cindy (nee Schorfheide) Kujawa.  He was united in marriage to Kristina Kellerman on July 12, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL and she survives his passing.

Chris worked as a farmer and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Radom, IL and the Knights of Columbus #4476 of Dubois, IL.  He was the co-founder of the Rooster Run for the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund and trustee for Blissville Township.  Chris enjoyed farming, tractor pulling, playing games, the beach and he loved spending time with family and his beloved dog, Caesar.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Kristina Kujawa of Ashley, IL; parents, Frankie and Cindy Kujawa of Ashely, IL; maternal grandmother, Joan Schorfheide of Nashville, IL; three brothers, Jonathan Kujawa and wife Tiffany of Tamaroa, IL, Frank Kujawa and wife Misty of Ashley, IL and Justin Kujawa of Ashley, IL; two nephews, Braden and Evan Kujawa of Tamaroa, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steven and Deborah Kellerman of Tamaroa, IL; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Schorfheide; paternal grandparents, Frank and Sophie Kujawa; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  There will be no public services.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the St. Michael Catholic Church or the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
