Covid Update: Washington County Up Two Cases, At Ten Deaths
Today the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced 7,123 new confirmed and probable cases of Coronavirus in Illinois. They have also announced 146 new deaths in the state. This brings the total number of cases in Illinois to 870,600 with 14,655 deaths.
Two of today’s additional cases are from Washington County. They are both females in their 90’s.
According to the IDPH website, Washington County is now at 1,032 confirmed cases with 10 deaths.
There will be a Free Mobile Covid Testing Site at Washington County Fairgrounds in Nashville on Saturday, December 19th from 8 AM – 4 PM. These tests will be a simple nasal swab. Anyone can be tested, regardless of symptoms or immigration status. The test is free, but individuals being tested should bring their insurance card if they have one. Insurance is not required.
