Mrs. Betty A. Schwartzkopf of Nashville, IL departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:15 AM. She had attained the age of 88 years, 10 months and 16 days.
Betty was born on February 3, 1932 in DuBois, IL, the daughter of John and Bertha (Kraudel) Prange. She was united in marriage to Richard Schwartzkopf on June 10, 1950 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL and he survives her passing.
Betty worked as a ward clerk at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL for many years. She was of the Catholic faith and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Richard Schwartzkopf of Nashville, IL; three children, Rick Schwartzkopf and wife Dorothy of Nashville, IL, Mary Smith and husband Andy of Powder Springs, GA and Randy Schwartzkopf of Nashville, IL; ten grandchildren, Lynn (Brent) Hemminghaus of Columbia, IL, Ryan (Khristine) Schwartzkopf of Brandon, FL, Mark Schwartzkopf of Tampa, FL, Julie (Noe) Yanes of Duluth, GA, Eric (Ashley) Smith of Powder Springs, GA, Gabriel (Jacob) McDaniel of Powder Springs, GA, Peyton (Marla) Smith of Dallas, GA, Paige (special friend Todd Robinson) Schwartzkopf, Callie (special friend Max Tebbe) Schwartzkopf and Radyn Schwartzkopf all of Nashville, IL; fifteen great grandchildren, Trey, Brady, Shane, Amanda, Dylan, Drake, Ava, Aiden, Lena, Rowan, Noah, Connor, Ben, Freya and Talyn; three great great grandchildren, Khobie, Kolton and Dasha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, Eleanor Eberley, Josephine Horwath, Martha Prange, Gertrude Prange, Margaret Kozuszek, Louise Besand and Helen Ryterski and two brothers, Frank and Charles Prange.
Due to Covid 19 health concerns, a private funeral service will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the Beaucoup Cemetery in Beaucoup, IL. There will be no public services.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
