As of Monday, January 18th the Washington County Health Department announced that they have begun Phase 1B of the vaccination plan in Washington County. In their statement posted on their Facebook Page, WCHD said,
“Phase 1B is a very large group to vaccinate. It includes several occupations as well as those over the age of 65. Our department is working to offer vaccine across several areas in Phase 1B and are trying to get more vaccine to reach our residents sooner. This is going to be a long process, so please be patient as we continue moving forward through this situation.”
In the press release issued today, Washington County Health Department has announced 15 new cases of Covid-19 in individuals ranging from 16 to those in their 70’s. This brings the county total to 1,474 cases, with 49 of these cases currently active. One person in the county is currently hospitalized with Covid.
In today’s press release, the health department said, “It seems that our numbers are headed in the right direction. Continue to practice safety precautions so that we can continue to improve and overcome these unprecedented times.”
