Bernice E. Harre, 92 of Nashville, passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on December 20, 1928 in Hoyleton the daughter of Gustav and Anna Harre Neuhaus.  She married Alfred William Harre, Jr. on August 20, 1950 in Hoyleton and he passed away on May 18, 2011.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, 2 brothers; Melvin (Dorothy) Neuhaus and Nelson (Ruth) Neuhaus .  2 sisters; Alvira (Royden) Frese and Selma (Dwight) Francis, a son in law Gerald Hardin and brother in law; Victor (Norma) Harre.  Left to mourn her passing are 2 daughters; Shirley Hardin of Belleville and Sharon (Ron) Mewes of Nashville.  3 grandchildren; Alexis Hardin and special friend Raymond Schultz, Nathan (Leslie) Mewes and Jason (Daniela) Mewes. 5 great grandchildren; Ashtyn, Porter, Beckett, Brexley and Bronsyn Mewes.

Bernice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville and the Washington County Farm Bureau.  She enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle, polka music and dancing.  She especially enjoyed family dinners out and spending time with them.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev. James Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church in Nashville.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville or Washington County Hospital Extended Care.
