NMS Girls Basketball Move Into Championship Undefeated

The Nashville Middle School Girls Basketball team won the semi-final SIJHSAA Class M regional over Sesser-Valier at NMS on Tuesday, April 13th. This win brings their record to 13-0, and to their final game against Pinckneyville on Thursday, April 15 at 5:30 pm. NMS still has the #1 Seed, so the Regional Championship will be hosted in Nashville. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no State tournament this year.
Tuesday’s game ended in a 42-14 win, with the first quarter ending in a 14-0 shut out. (Half: 26-5; 3rd Quarter: 40-6). Top scorers for the game included Emma Behrmann with 14 points, Jaylee Aulds with 8 points, Emma Williamson with 6 points, Belle Schmale with 5 points, Ellie Bartling with 4 points, Aubrey Rhine with 3 points, and Makayla Gajewski with 2 points.
