Garrett Krohne named Editor at Nashville News
We are very excited to introduce our new Editor, Garrett Krohne. Krohne is a 2014 graduate of Okawville Jr. Sr. High School. He then obtained his Associates Degree through Southwestern Illinois College and Kaskaskia College before transferring to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville for his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications.
Although growing up a Rocket, this is not Krohne’s first experience working in the community. He formerly worked at The Nashville News as Sports Editor up until the summer of 2020. In his college days, he also had the opportunity to work for V 104.7, where he was tasked with calling Hornette volleyball games along with covering local school board and city council meetings. During those experiences, he had the chance to meet some of the coaches and other community members that he will be working with, something he feels is a big advantage as he starts his new journey.
