Mrs. Arleen E. Luessenheide of Nashville, IL, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital-Extended Care Unit in Nashville on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 10:26 A.M.  She had attained the age of 94 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Mrs. Luessenheide was born on February 15, 1928, in Plum Hill Township, Washington County, IL, the daughter of Fred W. and Anna (nee Schwengels) Finke.  She was baptized March 4, 1928 by Rev. Ludwig Rauch at Stone Church and confirmed March 29, 1942 by Rev. Carl Berger at Stone Church.  She was united in marriage to Roland F. Luessenheide on November 16, 1947, at her parents home in Venedy, IL and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1999.

Arleen worked at Sandal Craft Shoe Factory for 13 years and was Postal Clerk for 23 years. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ of Addieville, IL, where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and taught Sunday School for many years.

Left to mourn her passing are her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 8 sisters, Elda Blumhorst Koch, Elnor Helms, Alma Koch, Carrie Brockmann, Leona Koch, Edna Schuetz, Melba Martens and Mildred Downen and a brother, Edwin Finke.

Funeral services will be held at the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville, IL on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Bill Groennert officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Zion United Church of Christ in Addieville on Wednesday from 10 AM until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Washington County Senior Center or to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
