The Nashville Hornets improved to 5-2 Friday night, besting the Pinckneyville Panthers, 14-10.
The Hornets overcame a scoreless half and multiple turnovers to inch closer to victory. Noah Miller scored both of the Hornet touchdowns — one at 2:23 in the third and a clutch, go-ahead 4-yard run with 24 seconds left in the game.
Nashville solidified the victory after senior defensive lineman Owen Dunn sacked Panther quarterback Jase Lee in the backfield to put Pinckneyville out of range to answer back.
