Mrs. Louise M. Habbe of Nashville, IL, left this life for the green pastures of heaven at the Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 7:55 AM. She lived to the ripe old age of 95 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
Mrs. Habbe was born on June 28, 1927, in Nashville, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Louise (nee Roethemeyer) Finke. She was united in marriage to Paul F. “Babe” Habbe on January 17, 1948, in Gulf Port, MS and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1997.
Louise worked as a beautician for many years and was the owner and operator of the Towne and Country Beauty Shop in Nashville. She was a faithful and active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Nashville and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Nashville. Louise was defined by her love for life, laughter and good times spent with family and friends. Her favorite memories are on the golf course sinking putts and celebrating others who could hit a long drive. She cherished the friendships she made through the Women’s Golf League. She always looked forward to playing bridge with lifelong friends. Louise was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Nashville Hornet fan and she loved to sew, cook, bake and decorate her house for all the seasons and holidays.
Louise leaves behind her 2 daughters, Patricia Rolf and husband David and Jodi Harre and husband Curtis all of Nashville; son-in-law, Gary Klingler of Nashville; 8 grandchildren, Erik (Adrienne) Rolf, Jennifer (Patrick) Maschhoff, Jeremy (Christy) Klingler, Travis (Robyn) Klingler, Kristen (Matt) Storey, Caleb (Jen) Harre, Lucas (Maranda) Harre and Chelsea (Braedon) Haertling; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, Oliver, Ted, Oscar and Leo Finke; 2 sisters, Marie Richards and Irene O’Neil and a daughter, Michelle “Mikey” Klingler.
Per the wishes of Louise and her family, cremation will be performed, and a memorial service will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Interment of Ashes will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ or the Nashville Women Golf League and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
