Leslie “Les” W. Buhrmester

Leslie “Les” W. Buhrmester, 89, passed away January 22, 2023.  He was an Electric Engineer for Allison Transmissions for 18 years, retiring 1992.  He was a proud US Marine and a Veteran of the Korean War.  Les was also a member of the Avon United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Grace Burmester.  He is survived by his children, Cindy Cole and Steve Buhrmester; brother, Ray (Toni) Buhrmester; grandchildren, Crystal (Greg) Basler, Ryan (Amber) Cofey, Tyson (Daniela) Coffey, Quinton Cole, Cheyenne Cole, and Doug (Sarah) Buhrmester; 12 great grandchildren.  Services are 12pm Wednesday February 1, 2023 at Conkle Funeral Home Avon with Visitation 10am-12pm before the Service.  Burial will be in the VA Cemetery-Danville IL Wednesday 3pm (2pm CST) February 1, 2023.  Online condolences may be shared at www.conklefuneralhome.com.
