Wash Co. Election Ballot Shared

Early voting for the the April 4 consolidated election begins on Thursday, February 23 at the Washington County Clerk’s office and runs through April 3 during regular business hours on Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office will have extended early voting hours on Friday, March 31 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be open for early voting on Saturday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Here is a look at the candidates that will appear on the April 4 consolidated election ballot in Washington County, from Chief Deputy Clerk Donna Johannes.
In the City of Ashley, Fred Johnson and write-in candidates Samuel Lamczyk and Alan Sherman are running for three full four-year term city councilmen spots. Write-in candidate Bill Strong is running for an unexpired two-year term city councilman seat.
In the City of Centralia, Bryan Kuder is running unopposed for mayor. Barri Allen and Israel Fontanez are running unopposed for two city council member seats.
In the City of Nashville, Shawn Kabat, Gary Moeller and Rob Irwin are running unopposed for three aldermen seats.
In the City of Wamac, no candidates are running for the full four-year term Ward 1 alderman seat. Edward McGee is running unopposed for an unexpired two-year term alderman seat.
In the Village of Addieville, William Frederking, Brian Gabrovic and Nick Zapp are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of DuBois, no candidates are running for an unexpired two-year term village clerk seat, three full four-year term village trustee seats and an unexpired two-year term village trustee seat.
In the Village of Hoyleton, Kristine Schnitker, Frank Tomasek and Adam Brammeier are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of Irvington, Keith Droege, Gene Howe and Kyle Kohlmeier are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of New Minden, Michael O. Davis, Chuck Funke and Bethany Karch are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of Oakdale, Charles Bahre is running unopposed for an unexpired two-year term village president seat. Cindy Harre, Melissa Turner and Dale Jones are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of Okawville, Stacy Friedrich, Scott Cragen, Joshua Muehlhauser and Steve Millikin are running for three village trustee seats.
In the Village of Radom, Anita Jurkowski, Richard Rybacki and Mike Tomaszewski are running unopposed for three village trustee seats. Claire Bauer and Cody Kesel are running unopposed for two unexpired two-year term village trustee seats.
In the Village of Richview, James Turner, Joseph Lewis Kemper III and Matthew Pierjok are running unopposed for three full four-year term village trustee seats. William Reinburg and James Hodge are running unopposed for two unexpired two-year term village trustee seats.
In the Village of Venedy, Roger Green, Gerald Scanlan and Al Schrader are running unopposed for three village trustee seats.
In the Memorial Park District, Steven Fletcher is running unopposed for park president. Pat Humphrey, Roland Meyer and write-in candidate Christian Kinder are running for three trustee seats.
In the Ashley Public Library District, Leonard Piasecki and Kathleen Janvier are running for three full six-year term board trustee seats.
In the Centralia Regional Library District, Victoria Benjamin and Karen Bounds are running unopposed for two full six-year term library trustee seats. No candidates are running for an unexpired two-year term library seat.
In the Marissa Area Public Library District, Carol Mercer, Warren Trotter and Doug White are running unopposed for three full six-year term board trustee seats.
In the Kaskaskia Water District, Robert Etling, Vance William Heil and Sheri Buettner are running unopposed for three trustee seats.
In the Oakdale School District, Jeffrey Bergmann of Oakdale, Charlie Giacomo of Oakdale, Carson Foster of Oakdale, Blake Patton of Oakdale and Wesley Dumond of Coulterville are running for four, four-year term seats on the school board. No candidates are running for a two-year term seat.
In the Irvington School District, no candidates are running for three four-year term seats and a two-year term seat on the school board.
In the Ashley School District, Nancy Janowski of Blissville, Terry Schetller of Blissville and Candace Reid of Ashley are running unopposed for three four-year term seats on the school board. Jennifer Zgonina of DuBois is running for one of the three two-year term seats.
In the Nashville Grade School District, Amanda Engele of Beaucoup, Devin Haertling of Beaucoup, Tanner Pries of Nashville, Joshua Snead of Nashville and Kourtney Engele of Nashville are running for four, four-year term seats on the school board.
In the Nashville High School District, Jeremy Bultman, Keith Suedmeyer, Eric Behrmann and Dwight Seaton II, all of unincorporated Nashville, are running for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the West Washington County School District, Paul Jansen of Okawville, Kyle Klingenberg of Okawville, Cathy Cook of Okawville, Jennifer Cragen of Okawville and Jeffery Miller of Plum Hill are running for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the Centralia City School District, Michael Middleton, Greg Dodson and Renae Bauer are running unopposed for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the Centralia High School District, Rod Snow, Michael Neudecker, Galen Mahle and Keith Kessler are running unopposed for four, four-year term seats on the school board. Lance Marcum is running unopposed for a two-year term seat.
In the Marissa Community Unit School District, Peter Pannier and Jennifer Demsar are running unopposed for two four-year term seats for the school board in Marissa Township 3S Range 6W. Jennifer Schremp and Dana Fritsche are running unopposed for two four-year term seats for the remaining congressional townships.
In the Freeburg Community High School District, Dean Gauch, James Kisgen and Gary Henning are running unopposed for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the North Wamac School District, Norman Faulkner is running for one of the four, four-year term seats on the school board. No candidates are running for the three two-year term seats.
In the Pinckneyville Grade School District, Paul Nehrkorn, Justin Martin, Bill Yates and Michael Porter are running for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the Pinckneyville High School District, Jennifer Robb of unincorporated Pinckneyville, Jeffrey Suchomski of unincorporated Pinckneyville, Greg Bigham of unincorporated Pinckneyville, Theresa Knapp of unincorporated Pinckneyville, Michael Plumlee of incorporated Pinckneyville, Betti Mucha of incorporated Pinckneyville and Leonard Junior Heisner IV of incorporated Pinckneyville are running for three four-year term seats on the school board.
In the St. Libory Community School District, no candidates are running for four, four-year term seats and a two-year term seat on the school board.
In the Willow Grove School District, Amy Nichols and Clay Beaver are running for three two-year term seats on the school board. Brittany Huff, Brandon Beaver and Patty Peeck are running for four, four-year term seats on the school board.
In the Kaskaskia Community College District, Brian Brink, Jim Beasley, Bryan Holthaus and Chuck Lear are running for two six-year term seats on the board.
In the Rend Lake Community College District, Ron Daniels, Brian Dorris and Joseph Coy are running unopposed for three six-year term seats on the board.
In the Southwestern Illinois Community College District, Douglas Sachtleben and Tracy Vallett are running for a four-year term seat in sub-district 1 on the board. John Blomenkamp and Sean McPeak are running for a six-year term seat in sub-district 2.
For members of the regional board of school trustees that covers Clinton, Jefferson, Marion and Washington counties, Dan Spangler of Jefferson County, Luke Purcell of Marion County and Blake Hyde of Marion County are running unopposed for three six-year term seats. Denny Hoffman of Washington County is running for one of the two, two-year term seats.
Two proposition questions will appear on the ballot. The following question will appear on the ballot for the Coulterville Library District: “Shall a Coulterville District Library be established in part of Randolph, Washington and Perry Counties?” The following question will appear on the ballot for the Freeburg Community High School District: “Shall the Board of Education of Freeburg Community High School District improve the site of and alter, repair and equip the Freeburg Community High School building, including construction of a new gymnasium, and issue bonds of said school district to the amount of $10 million for the purpose of paying the costs thereof?”
