Charles “Charlie” Scott Huge, 49, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born December 19, 1973 in Nashville, Illinois to Lester Carl and Orvella (Frieman) Huge. Charlie earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He was employed with Anthem BCBS and previously worked for A.G. Edwards, where he made many friends. Charlie had a passion for music and loved many genres. He also enjoyed skateboarding and basketball. He was an avid New York Yankees and Las Vegas Raiders fan. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his dogs, who he saw as part of his family. Family was important to Charlie and he loved getting together with everyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his sister, Annette (Al) Tylka; brother, Leslie “Les” (Cindy) Huge; nephew, Anthony (Tasha) Bury; niece, Kirstyn (Ed) Sterns, nephew, Kyle Huge and various other special nieces and nephews. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael and Rob Bury and several beloved dogs.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Private family inurnment will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or Washington County Illinois Partners for Pets.
