NMS Basketball Coaches Named Coaches of the Year; Reinburg to be Inducted into IBCA Hall of Fame

Two Nashville Middle School basketball coaches have been named Coaches of the Year by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) and an NMS coach is being inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame.
Nashville Middle School boys basketball coach Alex Timmermann and Nashville Middle School girls basketball coach Tierney Moore were named Coaches of the Year. The IBCA Coach of the Year Luncheon will be held Saturday, May 6 at Illinois State University’s CEFCU Arena.
Additionally, Will Reinburg, Nashville Middle School girls track coach and former girls and boys basketball coach, is a member of the 2023 IBCA Hall of Fame class. The IBCA Hall of Fame Banquet will also take place on Saturday, May 6 at Illinois State University’s CEFCU Arena.
“Tierney Moore and Alex Timmermann are going to be recognized as our district’s coach of the year for junior high basketball. After that, Will Reinburg, who coached boys and girls both here, is going to be recognized for the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Congratulations to all of them,” said Nashville School District 49 Principal Chuck Fairbanks at the school board’s Thursday, April 27 meeting.
Other Washington County coaches named Coaches of the Year include Trinity St. John/Immanuel Lutheran School co-op girls basketball coach Joseph Kirby, Okawville High School girls basketball coach Haylee Bowers and Okawville Junior High School girls basketball coach Aaron Tebbe.
Also, Jodi Marver, sister of Nashville News reporter Todd Marver, was named a Coach of the Year. She coaches high school girls basketball at Willows Academy in Des Plaines, a northwest suburb of Chicago.
