Three Belleville men charged with murder

Three Belleville men were charged with the murder of Montez Pearson, 44, of East St. Louis. Kevin Loucks, 44; Milton Robinson, 57; and Arrion Sanders, 45, were charged with first degree murder, a Class M felony, according to a press release issued by the Illinois State Police.

 

The arrests come after an exhaustive investigation into the murder of Pearson. On July 19, Pearson was located deceased near Lunte Creek Road in Washington County. Loucks was taken into custody on July 23 after a search warrant was executed at his residence in Belleville. Robinson was taken into custody the next day, while Sanders was taken into custody on July 27, both in Belleville. 

 

According to charging documents filed at the Washington County Circuit Clerk’s Office on July 25, Pearson was shot in the head with a shotgun on or about July 19. 

 

Illinois State Police was assisted during the investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Belleville Police Department. All three suspects remain in custody at the Washington County Jail with bond set at $1 million, 10% to apply.
