NCHS boys golf places first at Okawville and Greenville

The Nashville High School boys golf team placed first at a pair of competitions last week.
The Hornets took first place out of 13 teams at the Okawville Invite with a score of 303 at the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course on Monday, September 11. Parker Renken was the medalist with a score of 68. Others in the top six for the Hornets were Collin Rolf and Miles Taylor each with a score of 77, Lucas Dunn with a score of 81, Brady Stein with a score of 84 and Kolby Suedmeyer with a score of 93.
The Hornets also took first place out of three teams at Greenville, par 36, with a score of 171 on Thursday, September 14. Waltonville had a score of 173 and Greenville had a score of 189. Scorers for the Hornets were Renken with a score of 38, Stein and Taylor each with a score of 44 and Rolf with a score of 45.
The Hornets took eighth place out of 14 teams with a score of 329 at the Marion Invitational on Wednesday, September 13. Renken was the top scorer for the Hornets with a score of 73, placing eighth individually out of 64 golfers. Other scorers for the Hornets were Rolf with a score of 84, and Taylor and Dunn each with a score of 86.
The JV team placed 12th out of 13 teams at the Belleville East Par 3 Tournament with a score of 314 on Wednesday, September 13. Suedmeyer was the top scorer for the Hornets with a score of 66, taking 10th place out of 78 golfers. Other scorers for the Hornets were Jackson Harre with a score of 76, and Lane Davies and Blake Brooks each with a score of 87.
